Born and raised on the east side of Bakersfield, Dylan Pearson is a product of the community he hopes to serve. The son of two elementary school teachers, Dylan attended Bakersfield City School District schools from kindergarten through eighth grade before graduating from Highland High School.

After high school, Dylan earned his bachelor's degree from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and went on to receive his teaching credential and master's degree in education from the University of California, Irvine. He is committed to bringing practical experience, thoughtful leadership, and a student-centered approach to the Bakersfield City School District Board.

Dylan is running for the Bakersfield City School District Board because he believes every child deserves a safe school, a high-quality education, and the opportunity to succeed. As a teacher working with students every day, he is committed to ensuring that district decisions are guided by what is best for kids, families, and classrooms.
